We’re based in the Gracia neighborhood (Fontana metro station), spread across several interconnected spaces. The great Woz once described our offices as “the most wonderful place I’ve ever been in my life.” Not much more to add when it comes from Apple’s co-founder.

We’re looking for talented and kind people with solid experience in PHP backend development—someone who enjoys tackling complex problems and values quality, structure, and continuous software evolution. We want someone who thrives in real, demanding environments and has the technical judgment to make informed decisions.

Essential Technical Requirements:

  • Proven solid experience in PHP backend development

  • Strong knowledge of relational databases, especially MySQL (including design, performance, and scalability)

  • Proficiency with GIT: branches, conflict resolution, collaborative workflows

  • Experience working in Linux environments

  • Practical understanding of the HTTP/HTTPS protocol: headers, methods, status codes, payloads, etc.

  • Comfort using tools like command-line interfaces and browser DevTools (e.g., Chrome)

  • Fluent Spanish, English skills required. Other languages are a plus — we work internationally.

Valuable Knowledge:

  • Good practices in web security (SQL injections, XSS, CSRF, session management, etc.)

  • Basic frontend knowledge (JavaScript, HTML, CSS)

  • jQuery

  • Apache and/or Nginx

The Kind of Attitude We Appreciate:

  • You enjoy deeply understanding how things work, not just scratching the surface.

  • You have technical judgment and are meticulous when working with code.

  • You prefer writing robust, sustainable code—even if it takes a bit longer.

  • You’re proactive: you propose ideas, improvements, or alternatives when something can be done better.

  • You enjoy working in a team, creating a good atmosphere, and sharing knowledge.

What We Expect You Can Do:

  • Work comfortably with complex systems with multiple dependencies and high interconnectivity.

  • Read, analyze, and modify legacy code while maintaining backward compatibility when necessary.

  • Write thoughtful code with attention to structure, readability, and maintainability.

  • Perform thorough QA with a complete system overview.

  • Use GIT fluidly in active collaborative environments.

  • Design and query relational databases with performance, consistency, and scalability in mind.

  • Be self-sufficient in development, task management, and analysis without needing constant supervision—while still being a strong team player.

Our Development Philosophy:

We especially value people who align with design principles and best practices like SOLID, Clean Code, or well-structured architecture patterns. We’re not looking for perfection, but we do expect a mindset of continuous improvement and a willingness to keep learning. If you love writing clean code—or are on the path to doing so—we’ll really value that here.
